When I was little, one of the professions I was interested in was a doctor. I didn’t understand much at that point and didn’t even know that in several years I’ll set my mind on entering college and getting a medical degree. At that time I associated doctors with medicine, hospitals and … microscopes (which might appear very interesting to you).That is why I collected multicolored pieces of glass. I had so many of them, different shapes and colors, that my room was a mess: brown, green, white, dark blue, yellowish and much much more. But I wasn’t just collecting them, I was also using them, as I thought doctors did. First of all I looked at the sun through each of the glass to see how beautiful it is and what color it turns into at light… Then I found either a leaf, flower or a bug, dug a little hole in sand, put my treasure there and covered it with a glass, I chose especially for it. I enjoyed this tremendously. In several days I’d go and check my treasure, but unfortunately was never able to find it, so made more and more of them day after day. Years later, I graduated college with a MA in Medicine Science and now ….. work with microscopes in a lab, helping my colleges to fight severe diseases and curses of this century. But the world that I see through a microscope glass today seems to me the same I saw through a colored glass long time ago…
