Immersion Circulators

What is an immersion circulator? An immersion circulator is an apparatus that can be clamped to a water bath or suspended above a water bath that will raise the temperature of the liquid and circulate it at the same time. An immersion circulator can be used to temper a wide variety of samples, prepare media, incubate cultures, and thaw specimens. Polyscience Corporation is well known for their immersion circulators as well as other products used in life science applications. Depending on the model one may increase the temperature of their liquid from 5 degrees above ambient temperature to 150 degrees celsius. Immersion circulators can be used for any application where a constant temperature is required. Immersion circulators are even being used for cooking! Accessories such as cooling coils, high temperature tubing, clear bath algicide, and heat transfer fluid are available to accommodate a variety of applications and laboratory techniques.
